Artistic Interpretation of Haiku
WoleryWol
With the advent of Hughes House for poetry critiquing on the colony, some of you might be interested in visiting my blog to see my three posts this week about a multimedia collaboration between myself and celebrated artist, Julian Sutherland-Beatson.
To whet your appetite, here's today's picture.
If you'd like to see the other two pictures and read more about the artist, or add comments to my three blog posts, please follow the this link to http://sarahpotterwrites.wordpress.com.
Any constructive criticisms or suggestions would be most welcome.

well that cheered me up no
well that cheered me up no end. Interesting, but the thing I like about haiku is the way they create images in your head. to an extent it defeats the object of them for me.
happy and humorous haiku
Oh dear, Oscuridad, I do write happy and humorous haiku poetry as well. It just happened that the artist decided to paint three of my sad ones first. He must be suffering from the winter blues.
I hear what you say about painting them defeating the object of haiku for you, but when an artist exhibits his paintings, it is all about sharing his view of a particular subject. Also, some people don't have much of an imagination (hard as it is for us greatly imaginative writers to envisage) so they like to have someone else interpret things for them.
