130806721_60951ef978Comedy writing is arguably the toughest genre in which to write… today, Peter and Rosy Barnes, author of  Sadomasochism for Accountants, talk about the perils of humorous writing and some of the tricks of the trade.  Rosy’s perspective of writing both novels and for the theatre comes in handy.

In today’s Write Report, Donna reports that the Havana Book Fair bans an author they find unacceptable – although he was allowed to give readings from the book nearby – and the Huffington Post says publishing is asking the wrong questions about its future.  Has publishing lost touch with readers?

In Eve’s Salmagundi Club, she stumbles upon a site that purports to explain why truth is stranger than fiction.
