Today Peter is taking stock of the ongoing debate about Scribd and book piracy.  Where are we?  And what can authors do?  Piracy is the biggest issue authors face in the digital future – and we want you to be part of the debate – so keep on talking, writers.

In today’s Write Report, Donna reports on Dilbert – whose creator Scott Adams has had a banner year – apparently, readers want to see their own misery reflected in a comic strip.

In Eve’s Salmagundi Club, she finds a site in which an anonymous editor tells a woeful tale of rejection gone bad.

Sailors in olden times knew how to deal with pirates. Hang them at a dock end and leave their bodies to rot on the gibbet. Not that I'm suggesting…..oh no. I've enjoyed Peter's spleen venting, but can't quite see him with the Black Cap on.

Gibbet is too darn good for 'em. I'm sure we creative types can think of something more original… :) P.
