“Inspiring” is a pretty good word to use about tonight’s show. Andi Buchanan had a great idea for The Daring Book For Girls … two million copies later (to say nothing of a video game, a Burger King kids meal and a film deal!) she’s here to tell us – and inspire us with – her story. Erik Deckers has been writing for 24 years, 17 years as a humor columnist, eight as a playwright, and now three as a book author. The author of Branding Yourself: How to Use Social Media to Invent or Reinvent Yourself as well as the forthcoming No Bullshit Social Media!, Erik knows a thing or two about how authors should use social media… it’s inspiring, too! Equally inspirational is Philip Jones, managing editor of The Bookseller and co-founder of FutureBook.net… in certain cultures, Philip would be a veritable god – but tonight (more prosaically with us) he’s telling us about Waterstones’ plans for an e-reader.
All this together with Dave Bartram, Donna Ballman and Ali in the chatroom! Were you there? Well, if you weren’t – at least you can listen to the recording, here. But…don’t miss out next week!
Get your reservation in quickly for next week’s chatroom – do arrive early!
